 Rachel Gallo  LMFT

Children, Adolescents & Adults

Hi, my name is Rachel Gallo.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapyfrom Appalachian State University.

Prior to earning my Master’s, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public and Interpersonal Communication from North Carolina State University.

I have over six years of experience as a therapeutic treatment provider for children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families dealing with mental and emotional disorders and other relational and behavioral problems.

Therapy can seem intimidating, and I take pride in providing a therapeutic environment characterized by warmth, sincerity, and safety.

I am an avid believer in human resilience, even in the face of adverse life circumstances and events.

I strive to assist my clients in increasing their self-awareness, realizing barriers to joy, self-compassion, and change, and developing healthy practices and ways of thinking that will best promote their overall well-being.

I utilize the evidence-based therapy models of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) with my clients.

I am a fully rostered Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT Certified), and received my training through the North Carolina Child Treatment Program.

In addition to these models, my practice is influenced by Compassion-Focused, Solution-Focused, and Systemic Therapy approaches.
